Cum Laude reaches 222.222+ student milestone
Friday, 08 March 2013

Over 222.222 students in Cum Laude, and the number is still growing steady. With the Montessori College in Nijmegen and alle schools of the Stichting Carmel, Cum Laude is the Business Intelligence application that supports over 25 percent of all secondary schools in the Netherlands in finding the answer to all their questions.

Martijn Wijffelaars, product manager at MagnaView: "At MagnaView for all product that we develop, such as Cum Laude for secondary education, we listen very carefully to our customers and the questions they have. This explains the continuous growth of Cum Laude. We are constantly focused on the use of Cum Laude, on how it fits in the daily operations, and on the way users can benefit most of it. We use this information to continuously improve new releases."

Since 2012, Magister schools are also able to use Cum Laude, and we expect that many schools will be attracted to our open Cum Laude philosophy. In addition, all users can expect additonal reporting options for financial en personnel information. In this area, schools have great need for better steer information, and for finding an answer to the extending government regulations.

Wijffelaars:"Last but not least, our MagnaView software garanties simplicity and user friendlyness. Characterics that are values by all of our users."

Additional Eindhoven session in Cum Laude tour
Tuesday, 23 October 2012

Due to interest that has much higher than expected, a second Eindhoven session will be added to the national Cum Laude demo tour.

To ensure close interaction with and between the participants, the number of attendants was limited: the sessions features a general introduction, demonstrations and a panel discussion. Given the short term in which the seats for Eindhoven were filled, we cannot yet provide information on the next session: this will be provided in due course.

Other sessions are planned for Hoogeveen, Utrecht and Den Haag.

More information about the Cum Laude demo tour can be found at www.magnaview.nl/cumlaudedemo (page in dutch).

Additionele Eindhoven sessie in Cum Laude tour

Successful Masterclass on Quality Assurance in clinical pathology
Wednesday, 25 January 2012

MagnaView’s Pathos product is broadening its role for quality assurance in clinical pathology labs in the Netherlands. To allow Pathos users and others to discuss current development in quality assurance, a masterclass was held in cooperation with Palga, the pivotal organization for information on pathology in the Netherlands.

Over 25 participants, partly pathologist, partly quality assurance officers, discussed development in the sector with four speakers providing introductory information.

The general perspective about data, indicators and the way these play a role in labs was discussed by MagnaView business consultant Patrick Riemers.

Bart Lelie, pathologist and lab manager at Zorgsaam, presented the role of quality assurance in his lab, and stressed the importance of cultural change to achieve improvements.

Arjen van de Pol (Stichting Palga) discussed the use of Protocols in pathology. Stichting Palga has the ambition to implement 15 new protocols in the short term.

Lastly, Joost Oudejans (Chairman of a working group of the Pathologists’s professional association) talked about performance indicators for accreditation and peer review.

Pathology in the Netherlands has a unique information sharing infrastructure through Palga. MagnaView’s Pathos product is broadly used in this community, and the audience in the meeting put forward a range of requests to extend Pathos’ functionality to address future quality assurance challenges.
