Micros is Philips Medical Systems’ application for Microbiological laboratories. MagnaView has created a Special Product for Micros which offers visual, in-memory access to the large datasets in Micros’ Cache database.
Labs carry out hundreds of thousands of tests per year. With MagnaView insight in this dataset is possible in seconds.
First projects have been developed to help laboratories meet challenges in Dutch Health Care, such as an aging population and an increasing role of a free market in health care. More insight in the ‘market’ of laboratories is necessary: what GP’s are served, and what internal clinical departments. Moreover, monitoring production contributes to the efficiency of internal processes. Last but not least, more exploring the development of sensitivity of bacteria for antibiotics becomes possible with data of several years easily becomes possible.
MagnaView was invited to give a presentation of the Special Product at the Micros User Group Meeting.
