Use MagnaView

The examples below give you insight in the main features of our products. Features are presented in combination with actual data and actual use cases.

1 Group your data
2 Map your data

1 Group your data
• Create groups of records based on the distribution of the number of categories for a specific attribute, or the value of an attribute.
• Examples: bins with equal values for an attribute, statistical distribution, distribution in percentages.

Case: Pupils in secondary education skip classes. When equal size bins are created, an undeniable 80/20 rule is uncovered: a small group of pupils is responsible for a larger part of total absence. The school focuses on these students to meet nation-wide defined performance indicators for absence.

2 Map your data
• Present data against a background familiar to the user.

Case: Show density of visits in a supermarket over a period of two weeks. Backgrounds are part of levels in the treemap, and can be used in any part of the view.
